Hints for the families on holiday in Norfolk Island are:

  • Take it easy, go slower, enjoy being in the company of your family our pace on island is definitely slower.  This is a great opportunity to listen and talk with you kids.
  • The art of doing little is still alive and well here, imagine just hanging out and maybe cruising, reading a book, listening to music sleeping in eating out and walking in the fresh air – you have the whole of the island to explore.
  • Mini golf up Grassy Road – is a great way to unwind and then refresh at the on-site cafe or just browse the great kids shop filled with goodies for big and little kids who still enjoy playing.
  • Horse riding at Silky Oaks Stables – and if being a rider is not your style you can enjoy a cup of tea and homemade scone.
  • Emily Bay – the beach that is the most perfect and beautiful in the world.  Safe, clean, adventurous (bring your mask, snorkel and flippers) or paddle around and check out the rock pools or even venture further to Slaughter Bay, Middle Beach or Cemetery Bay.
  • Bush walking – take a stroll up Mount Pitt or out to Captain Cook or 100 Acres.  The walking and wandering will work up an appetite for the rest of the days feasting.

  • Sunset Fish Fry – Mutiny on the Bounty – Trial of the Fifteen – Sound and Light – Wonderland By Night – Ghost Tour - ...take in a show for the evening!!
  • Kayaking
  • Mountain Bike Experience
  • 4WD Touring – trip through terrain that is usually off limits in a suitably equipped 4 wheel drive with local operator John Christian
  • Glass Bottom Boat Ride – check out what is under the water without getting wet!!
  • Phillip Island Trek – short boat ride to Philip then up and over the island for a great trek with opportunity to check out the flora and fauna of the island – a great adventure for those with a desire to exert themselves.
  • Fishing – the great fight between man and fish that may well leave the family with food on the table for the evening.
  • Play tennis, or golf, or squash or bowls, ride a bike, take a hike, swim, walk , run, jog, stroll, yoga, pilates, zumba,
  • Museum Tag-Along-Tour – this is a great deal for the family and allows you to wander yourself or be helped along by a museum official.
  • Culla and Co -  Carriage ride with Clydesdales and Culla - local character coachmaster
  • Wildwood - crafts and woodturning - Stockyard Road
  • Camelot Gardens - 2 acres of beautiful gardens to walk amongst
  • Tropical Adventures - mountain biking, sea kayaking, Snorkeling
  • Pitcairn Settlers Village - Queen Elizabeth Avenue
  • Cyclorama - Queen Elizabeth Avenue
